Arts and Environment

The Arts and Environment Team is charged with creatively enhancing the environment that supports our congregation’s ministry. We are challenged to present an atmosphere that punctuates and draws attention to the colors of the church season and the themes chosen to emphasize the missions of Maple Grove Lutheran Church.

Join the A& E Team

A&E Team members join together in a variety of duties to complete each project. We look for those who enjoy the inspirational process of teamwork; are able to cut, color, organize and hang decorations; and otherwise help us create a meaningful background for the words and music that fill our sanctuary and fellowship areas.

Past projects include:

• Building Fund banner
• seasonal wall hangings
• Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations
• colorful additions to our worship area at Easter and Pentecost

Extra hands are always welcome…for one project or many
This year we invite the assistance of members/friends in making seasonal changes to our sanctuary. This is particularly important during the Advent and Christmas season, and the Lenten and Easter season which require numerous changes to our sanctuary.

The Arts and Environment Team meets with the pastors, initiates the theme for each season, plans and purchases items for the project. Then we need lots of creative help…and hands…to bring the ideas alive. Work on one part of a project, or on all of a project. Whatever time you can carve out of your schedule is a blessing to the team.

Time commitments range from 1 to 1-1/2 hours for the overall seasonal project planning meeting and 1-2 hours for each project. If we are able to recruit many willing hands, the actual time completing each project may be drastically reduced. We can use men, women and teens for this project!
