Acorn Music Camp Week
Thanks to Suzanne Hanson, Melissa Hanson, Shelley Halverson, and the many volunteers who have helped out with this week-long music camp in August. The 30 children who participated had a great time. There were many new faces at the camp-friends and neighbors who were invited by members of MGLC to experience this incredible music opportunity.
MGL Foundation 2008 Golf Epilogue
The first annual Maple Grove Lutheran Foundation Charity Golf Tournament was held at Pheasant Acres on August 3. It was truly a great success, and all had a lot of fun.
Thanks to all our sponsors, silent auction donors, and seventy-eight golf participants the Foundation raised $6,865. This is more than double what was raised at last year’s fundraiser. A very special thanks to the tournament sponsors J. Brothers Home Improvement, Inc. (Chuck Johnson) and Home Maintenance Specialists, Inc. (Teri Johnson). The Johnson’s support really enabled the Foundation to take its fundraiser to a new level.
