Palm Sunday 2009 - Triumphant Entry Photos

Church School
We have an awesome year planned with many opportunities for our children to learn and grow at MGLC. If you have any questions or need more information, contact the Children’s Ministry office Sunday through Thursday.

We’re excited for what the Lord has planned this year. Let’s prayerfully make it a year for children to know, love, and follow Jesus. Children need our prayers and short-term involvement. As God leads you according to your God-given gifts, there are many areas to plug in. Contact Shelley Halverson at 763-420-7930 ext 16.

  • Self Centeredness

Come along as we discover what God' word (truth) says about these. We meet Sunday at 9 a.m. and Wednesday night at 6:45pm. Registration is through the Church School registration.

Fireflies Children's Club
Our Firefly Club compliments the Church School material and is something the children can work on at home with their parent’s help.

This two-part program includes Bible Memory and Bible Study. Children as young as two years old can memorize Scripture. There are seven levels of memory verses (3 sets of 12 verses) for small children ages 2-6 years old; and seven levels of memory verses (3 sets of 15) for the children in grades 2-6.

Once a child is able to read and write, they are ready for Bible Study. Each of the 20 series has eight pages. When a student completes a series, it is  corrected by one of our friendly Firefly team members.

We believe children should get a Bible at a young age and highlight each verse they  learn. Every time they open their Bible the highlighted verses are like a refresher course on God’s Word. When children are familiar with their Bible, they become more confident reading it.

2009 5th Grade First Communion

On April 19th a great group of 5th graders will receive their First Communion. They have been preparing for this day by attending instruction with Pastor Chris, Shelley and of course thie parents! They also attended the Chalice and Bread making class with Jen, Miriam, and Kianna. There they made their own Chalices and bread they will be using on their specail day.

Jesus told his friends to remember him by doing what was done at the last supper. He was doing more than giving his disciples good memories. He was teaching them how he would still be real to them, even after his death.
