Stewardship Committee:
Dave gave us an update on what the committee is going to do for 2008. He said that they are going to have all pledge cards read by the office manager, Sandy Hahn. This will allow the entire congregation to see in their monthly statements what they have donated. Old pledge cards from 2007 will be sent to all members after the November 18 church service along with a thank you. They also discussed having face to face meetings with all
teams and that they would like council members to help ask every committee to hand back their new pledge cards and to increase their giving. They will hand out new pledge cards during church on December 2 and 9. If cards are not picked up they will be mailed out.

Worship Committee:
We are forming a new Creative Worship Team consisting of Jon Brandon, Pastor Chris, Brian Hanson, Pastor Durk, three at large members and Kurt Schwedler acting as team leader. This team will revamp and refresh our contemporary worship services.

Small Group Update:
Discussed new small groups starting and setting up a January meeting to train all small group leaders.

“The Centered Life” book study:
We discussed chapter one of the book. Do we live a balanced life or a centered life? We need to have God as our center in life. This will help us discover our unique strengths and gifts.

Pastor Durk shared his report.
We voted on new members joining our church. Peg Turnquist gave the 1st motion and Steve Hanson seconded. Motion carried.  Pastor Durk highlighted the special events that took place in September. On October 21 we have a guest preacher, Rev. Dr. Hollie Hot-Woehl. This will be a service of healing. Also in November on the 7th we have Nicole Rice as our guest speaker. She leads a group called the Family Readiness Group. This is a group to support our military families.
