Financial Report - Steve Wagner walked us through the report for the end of 2006. People running the ministry areas are to be commended for being very conscience in their spending. We will have a balanced budget for 2006, maybe a few dollars ahead after a couple of items are investigated. Cash balance is good and our mortgage is currently at 1.9 million. We also had discussion about dedicated accounts and how best to handle each item.

Personnel will bring two job descriptions to the next Council meeting for review: a part-time Custodian and a Nursery Coordinator.

The office will be closed January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - motion was carried by council. President’s Day in February was also discussed as another day that the office would be closed. Council approved this recommendation. These dates will be placed on the calendar in advance for everyone to know so programming may be scheduled accordingly.

Candidates have come forward for synod assembly - these will be voted on at the Congregational Meeting.

Rick Moulton is working with the Nominating Team to identify people for Council leadership roles - names of candidates may be suggested and given to Rick.
