Steve Wagner opened the meeting with prayer.
     
The Facilities Team presented options of a base project and several smaller projects for our new sanctuary and building renovation. They are seeking permission to continue with full design. The Steering Committee reported that conversations are in process regarding the land on Fernbrook Lane. Continue to keep these processes in your prayers!
     
Open Guest Forum: Mike Gronholm asked who will conduct an exit interview with Ruth Bloom. Pastor Durk advised that Sharon Spindler, Personnel Committee Member, will do this.
     
Each committee chair gave their budget overview. 
     
Suzanne Wimer presented each line item for the Worship Committee. She stated that we need to meet what is asked for in this area as Worship is the heart of who we are.
     
Candy Burns-Anderson presented on behalf of Discipleship. They are requesting $5,000 more than this year. The committee would like more flexibility in their budgeting.
     
Parish Life, led by Jennifer Martinson, reported that any activities in this area are self-supporting. Some new ideas, but no dollars are needed at this time.
     
Mary Monge shared the budget for Caring Ministries.  Little Lambs is a viable project, but is costly to run. We need to let people know the needs.
     
Mike Eggers shared information about the Outreach budget and historical dates from 2003. They would like to get things back to where they were.
     
Terry Henderson, new Operations Chair has been working hard to understand the needs and draft a budget. Some expenses will be attempted to trim this year.
     
Personnel is recommending a 3.5% increase in the pool to be distributed after Staff reviews.
     
Budget overlaps and changes will need to be made and new copies will be distributed to all council and staff. 
     
Discussed our vision, hard decisions and future plans.
     
Financial Overview: November is down a little, but for the year we are on budget. Year to date is still good.
     
Approved the minutes from November.

Congregational Meeting: Sunday, January 28
Council meeting/working session with Vision Team: Thursday, February 8
