Do you enjoy welcoming babies into this world and connecting with other families from our congregation? Then, become a Little Lambs visitor. Meet with those in our congregation who have just received a new arrival to their family. Flexible hours. Contact Tanya at 763-416-0411.
To provide a Baby Blanket for a newborn
Knit, crochet, sew, tie, or buy a baby blanket.
It should be about 36 inches square when you are done. Bring it to the church. It will be brought to the family when the child is born. Your gift will warm the hearts of the family and let them know that they are surrounded by the love of God and of the family of God at MGLC.
A Faith Chest is presented to each family as their baby is baptized. The chest includes several gifts to share faith in the home. A special gift of $25 covers the cost for one Faith Chest if you would like to participate in this ministry.
Sponsor a Faith Chest

Befrienders
This support ministry is a lay extension of the pastoral ministry and offers a listening presence to individuals who are going through difficult life situations. It also helps to build and deepen our Christian community. Befrienders is available to all MGLC adults in need of one-on-one interaction with another adult. If you are grieving, dealing with abuse, feel alone, or just need to talk with another caring Christian, contact Pastor Chiles or Pastor Peterson.

Thanks to Thrivent for the grant of money that was given to purchase yarn for 50 prayer shawls. Now we’re busy knitting and crocheting many colorful shawls that will be distributed by our Pastors to people in need of a little comfort and encouragement during a time of sickness, trouble, or loss. Each prayer shawl serves as a concrete representation of the warmth and care that “wraps” the wearer in love and prayer. If you love to knit or crochet and want to spread God’s love in this special way (and enjoy fun and fellowship), join us! Yarn and patterns are provided or you may use your own.

If you’ve ever had a friend show up at your front door with food in hand, you know the cheer and encouragement that gift delivers too. From Lenten meals, Progressive Dinners and more, we know MGLC is abundantly blessed with cooks and bakers. The Care Team wants to enlist your culinary skills to prepare an meal or dessert, and folks to deliver these to someone recovering from surgery or illness, in a time
of transition, or loss. Here are some ways to serve:
Prepare an meal or dessert and bring it to church
Volunteer just to make a delivery
Join others at church to prepare entrees or desserts in advance and keep in the
church freezer
Ingredients will be provided: just come help cook or bake! Contact Mary at msmonge01@yahoo.com.
