The Maple Grove Lutheran Church Facilities Team is off and running in the planning stages of what will amount to a very important project in the life of our church. We will be addressing the limitations of our current facility with an eye toward our vision of growing as a community, living in God's word and sharing God's love. Your financial support will be vitally important in helping us achieve that vision.
Who is managing the building project?
The Facilities Team has been chartered to design and build a new worship center which meets the needs of MGLC today and in the future. Specifically, it will:
- Hire an architect to assist in the planning process
- Develop a concept plan that meets the Program Requirements
- Work with the City for necessary approvals
- Operate within a budget set by the Finance Committee
- Communicate with the Council and the congregation on a regular basis
- Hire a general contractor
- Work with the general contractor on the execution of the building process
- Manage the change orders during the building process
- Work with a Transition Planning Team for building usage needs during the construction and renovation process
